Tiger Bitumen, the international bitumen brand of HY International Group, is a coat bitumen supplier and exporter, supplying protective bitumen coating products for corrosion protection, waterproofing, pipelines, storage tanks, bridges, and industrial applications to buyers around the world including contractors, importers, distributors, manufacturers, and infrastructure developers sourcing material for construction and infrastructure projects connected with Turkey. We operate packing and export facilities at Karachi Free Zone, Pakistan, and Ajman Port, UAE, supplying coat bitumen as genuine physical merchandise rather than reselling cargo we don’t control.
This page covers what coat bitumen is, how it protects against moisture and corrosion, the specific coat bitumen products we supply from pipe coating and bitumen paint through to crack sealers and metal surface coatings packaging, export documentation, and how international buyers can request a quotation.
Coat bitumen is a general term for a group of bitumen-based protective products used for corrosion protection, waterproofing, sealing, and adhesion across construction, industrial, and pipeline applications. Rather than a single product, it covers a range of coating, sealing, and bonding materials manufactured from bitumen and formulated for specific application methods and performance requirements.
Within this category, our confirmed manufactured product forms include Primer, Mastic, and Enamel bitumen each formulated for particular surface preparation, coating thickness, and application needs. These base product forms are applied across the specific use cases covered below, from pipe coating to crack sealing, depending on the substrate and protection required.
Bitumen is naturally water-resistant and provides strong adhesion to a range of substrates, including steel, concrete, and masonry. Coat bitumen products build on these properties, formulating bitumen with solvents, fillers, or reinforcing materials to suit a specific application method brushing, spraying, troweling, or bonding as a pre-formed sheet or tape.
Once applied and cured, coat bitumen products form a continuous barrier that resists water penetration, protects underlying steel or concrete from corrosion and moisture damage, and in many cases provides flexibility to accommodate structural movement without cracking or losing adhesion. The right product for a given application depends on the substrate, the environment it will be exposed to, and whether the coating needs to be rigid, flexible, load-bearing, or purely protective.
HY International has the capability to Export and Supply the different Grades of Coat Bitumen in compliance with National and International standards.
Coat bitumen products are formulated to deliver reliable protection across demanding industrial and construction environments. Depending on the specific product selected, buyers can expect:
Selecting the right coat bitumen product for the substrate and exposure conditions rather than treating all bitumen coatings as interchangeable is what determines long-term protection performance.
Coat bitumen products are used across a wide range of construction, industrial, and infrastructure applications, including pipelines, storage tanks, bridges, roofing, and general waterproofing systems. Buyers sourcing coat bitumen for projects connected with Turkey typically require it for road and bridge construction, water infrastructure, industrial facility protection, storage tank coating, and general infrastructure maintenance and waterproofing work.
The sections below cover the specific coat bitumen products we supply and their typical applications.
Bitumen Pipe Coat
Bitumen pipe coat is applied both externally and internally on carbon steel pipes, typically as a black coating that provides catholic protection for structural steel pipes situated underground. It’s regarded as one of the more cost-effective ways to provide this protection, and one of the less complex coating processes to apply, which makes it suitable for casing pipes such as those used in road bore installations. It’s widely used for oil and gas pipelines, underground utility networks, water transmission pipelines, and industrial infrastructure projects.
Bitumen Paint
Bitumen paint is produced with bitumen as the main material and a solvent such as gasoline, through material selection, dissolving, and sealing in container. It’s supplied in a flowing or semi-flowing, high-viscosity state and does not require fire melting to apply, which is a practical advantage on site. It’s used in various building engineering applications, roof sealing, and sandwiched layer construction, providing resistance against moisture, chemicals, corrosion, and weathering across both residential and industrial applications.
Bitumen Adhesive / Bitumen Glue
Bituminous adhesive, or bitumen glue, is used for cold gluing of construction materials, valued in particular for its watertight properties. It has thixotropic behavior becoming fluid when shaken, stirred, or otherwise agitated, and setting back to a gel when left to stand. This behavior comes from a combination of polymerized oil with EVA (ethyl-vinyl-acetate) copolymer resin, along with non-polymerized oil and oil-absorbing fillers, which together provide thixotropic performance without relying on organic solvents. It’s commonly used in roofing systems, waterproof membranes, insulation boards, and construction joints where strong adhesion and watertight performance are both required.
Bitumen felt is a building material with a solid bitumen thin layer attached to one surface. In use, liquefied bitumen is brushed onto the substrate such as the top of a building and the felt’s solid bitumen layer is fused to it using heat, typically from a burner. This gives uniform coverage without excess material waste, improving protection against rainwater seepage while reducing the amount of bitumen needed and the associated labor. Bitumen felt is widely used in flat roofs, basements, foundations, tunnels, and other waterproofing systems.
Bitumen tape is used across sanitary and building applications for sealing against water, and in vehicles for sealing or sound insulation. It’s particularly suited to roof construction and repair, covering joints, and forming tight connections between masonry or concrete and installed elements such as window frames or sheet metal. Bitumen tape is typically supplied in widths from around 24 to 105 mm and provides long-term sealing performance with flexibility and resistance to water penetration.
Bitumen sheet material is supplied for cutting to the required length at the construction or use site. A releasable casting film is removed to expose the testified surface, which is then pressed against the masonry or other surface it’s designed to protect, and held in place by the tacky nature of the exposed bitumen layer. Bitumen sheets are used for waterproofing foundations, retaining walls, tunnels, roofs, and bridge decks.
Bitumen joint sealer is used as a sealant for male and/or female pipe joint sections, with water evaporation and assembly under sufficient axial pressure forcing sealant out on both the inside and outside of the joint. It’s used for sealing drinking and waste water pipes, telephone conduits, expansion joints, and cracks in masonry, among other applications. It provides good adhesion to pipe surfaces of all types, does not displace during joint assembly, and resists deformation or embrittlement over long periods of use, giving efficient sealing across large contact areas while preventing water leakage, dust penetration, and structural movement damage.
Bitumen sealant is a single-component, neutral-curing, high-modulus, fast-curing product with good adhesive capacity across a range of base materials. It offers strong weather resistance and can be applied in any season, with high bonding strength and non-corrosive performance across most construction materials. It’s used for both indoor and outdoor construction applications where flexibility and reliable bonding are required.
Bitumen crack sealer is designed to seal cracks and joints in asphalt and concrete pavements, preventing water infiltration and protecting the pavement from further deterioration. It forms a durable, flexible seal that accommodates pavement movement, reducing the risk of crack expansion caused by traffic loads and changing weather conditions. It’s used across highways, airport runways, parking areas, bridge decks, and general road maintenance projects, providing adhesion and weather resistance that helps extend pavement service life and reduce maintenance costs.
Bitumen metal surface coating is designed to protect steel structures, pipelines, storage tanks, bridges, and other metal surfaces from corrosion, moisture, and general environmental damage. Proper surface preparation is essential to achieving strong adhesion and long-lasting performance surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from dust, rust, oil, and loose particles before application. It’s used across industrial, construction, marine, and infrastructure applications requiring corrosion resistance and waterproofing.
Coat bitumen products can be supplied in new steel drums, poly bags, carton boxes, jumbo bags, or other export packaging suited to the specific product and project requirements. Every production batch is tested before dispatch, and SGS inspection is available upon request. Buyers who want independent third-party verification before loading can request SGS inspection, appoint their own inspection agency, or arrange to have a representative attend loading in person.
